Preview: Home Screen Layout Library Item

We have launched the first iteration of a new Library Item: Home Screen Layout.

That Library Item allows admins to configure the arrangement of apps on the Home Screens of iOS and iPadOS devices. Those apps can include those from the App Store.

Apps that you add to a Home Screen Layout will automatically be added to a restrictions payload that will deploy along with your layout. That means your devices will hide all the other apps from users (save for the Settings and Phone app, which can’t be hidden), so the layout on the device will match the layout you defined in Kandji.

The Home Screen Layout Library Item is launching in Preview, allowing you to start using the feature immediately to see if it meets your needs. We intend to add features to it quickly, such as managing the Dock, app folders, and multiple pages.
