Kandji Web App Release 2024.10.02
We've updated the Kandji web app, including the following improvements and changes:
New Features
Users API
New enterprise API endpoints are now available to help you access information about users synced into Kandji. These endpoints enable Kandji admins to view details about directory integration users easily.
List users: /api/v1/users
Get user: /api/v1/users/{{user_id}}
Please note that these endpoints are not automatically enabled for existing API tokens. You will need to explicitly enable them within the token's permissions. For more detailed information, please refer to our API documentation.
Assignment Maps
New Kandji tenants will now have an Assignment Map set as their default Blueprint, replacing the Classic Blueprint.
If no Classic Blueprints are configured in your tenant, the heading for Classic Blueprints will be hidden to simplify your view.
Enrollment
Kandji admins can now require authentication via SSO during manual enrollment. Each Blueprint can be configured independently for authentication using different SSO connections. After successful authentication, users can be automatically assigned to device records.
Improvements
Assignment Maps & Rules
Changes to Tags, asset tags or assigned users on a device record now trigger an immediate reevaluation of MDM Library Items, eliminating the previous wait time of up to 24 hours. This change will be rolled out incrementally over the coming weeks.
The Library Item list view in Assignment Maps can now be filtered specifically for apps in Update Only mode.
Improved reliability for adding new Manual Device Exclusions.
FileVault Key Management
If Kandji cannot verify the validity of the FileVault key during scoping changes, end users will be prompted to enter their password to regenerate the key.
Auto Apps Update Only Mode
For Auto App titles set to Update Only mode, Kandji will no longer install associated configuration profiles, and any previously deployed profiles for these Library Items will be removed.
Kandji Web App Operations
Automatic logouts from the web app will now be based on activity in the most recent tab rather than the oldest.
Significantly reduced export times for large lists of Automated Device Enrollment devices.
Enrollment
The Manual Enrollment page has an updated look and feel.
Microsoft Device Compliance
Customers using the MSDC integration will now be able to edit user groups scoped to an existing device platform from the integration details page in Kandji.
Deprecation Notices
Library Item Assignment Rules for use with Classic Blueprints are deprecated but remain functional for existing customers with configured rules. New customers and existing customers without configured rules cannot add new ones.
