Kandji Web App Release 2024.08.07

The Kandji web app has been updated, including the following improvements:

Auto Apps

A new Update Only option enables the continuous enforcement of updates for any app in the Kandji Auto App catalog, without making it available for new installs in Self Service, and without installing it on any devices that currently do not have it installed. Auto Apps set to Update Only, a sub-choice of Continuously Enforce, appear on a device record with audit log information detailing whether Kandji detected the app is installed, and if so, the status of any enforcement actions.

Ethernet Library Item

A new Ethernet Library Item for Mac computers allows for the configuration of 802.1X authentication for secure network access.

Note: Support for auto-renewal of SCEP certificate identities configured in the Library Item, as is available in the Wi-Fi Library Item, is coming soon.

Other Improvements

• The Privacy Library Item can now be duplicated.

• The udid key in the Get Device Details enterprise API endpoint is now consistent for both macOS and iOS/iPadOS devices.

• Assignment Rules on the Home Screen Layout Library Item for use with Classic Blueprints can now be saved.

• App Store App Library Items whose configurations are changed from Self Service to Continuously Enforced are now automatically installed.

• The Get Device Apps enterprise API endpoint now returns the same information for modification_date as is shown in the Kandji web app.

• When changing a device's Blueprint, Device Name Library Items are now excluded if a device does not meet the rule criteria on Assignment Maps or Classic Blueprints.

• For customers without access to Prism, the option to Manage Tags is now available on the Devices page in the (...) menu.
