Additional device domains
ㅤ On November 26th, 2020, your instance will begin using an additional domain for device communication. The new domain will be in the format of identifier.devices.us-1.kandji.io. This will replace the previous domain of UUID.web-api.kandji.io. For most customers, this change will have no effect. Only those who leverage allow-list based networks or complex firewall rules may need to make changes. We've added a new section in Settings under the General tab labeled "Device Domains" which will show you the relevant domains:
The domain will be used for newly enrolled devices, downloading of enrollment profiles from the enrollment portal, and during Automated Device Enrollment. It will be leveraged for both MDM communication as well as Kandji Agent communication and will affect new enrollment on both macOS and iOS devices. For more information, please refer to our Using Kandji on Enterprise Networks support article.
